The plane manufacturing division of Amazon will lease 15 Boeing 737-800 plane as a part of a collaboration with GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS), in accordance to Supply Chain Dive.
At the International Paris Air Show, it was introduced that 15 aircrafts in addition to 5 jets had been leased from GECAS earlier this 12 months.
In a press launch, Dave Clark, senior vp of worldwide operations at Amazon, commented: “By 2021, Amazon Air will have a portfolio of 70 aircraft flying in our dedicated air network.”
Using Amazon’s Air community, the plane will transport cargo by means of the US. Amazon is about to open new air amenities at Chicago Rockford International Airport, Forth Worth Alliance Airport in addition to Wilmington Air Park.
